Sometimes people feel that it is a risk to be honest about ourselves and our relationships - as if there's an unspoken myth that all lesbian relationships are perfect and the same. If ours doesn't measure up to the ideal model, there must be something wrong with us. But real fact is that more than four in ten approximately 20 to 30 % say some of their close friends or family members are gays or lesbians, according to a recent research on human sexuality and relationship. About half of women, young people, college graduates, political liberals and say someone close to them is gay, but significantly fewer men, traditional society says that.

Need to announce and care for gay lesbian love in the situation of a lesbian-hating society often feels like pressure to hide the thrash about in lesbian relationships for fear they'll be used against lesbian’s community. Same sex and lesbian relation is still major stigma in closed culture or traditional society. Lesbians are discriminate at many work places and neglected by people.

In some countries like UK and Australia many women are known lesbians (10 out of hundred) and becoming to lesbian community in our society. Lesbians are in every occupation, and even some religious orders, various professions, politics, subscribing to all age and category of a lesbian. In truth lesbian relationships can vary a great deal. Some lesbian relationships exist outside the mainstream heterosexual model, operating on entirely different values. They may embrace non-monogamy, be poly-amorous, live in separate homes for years, be committed to resolving their problems while staying together for "as long as we are good together" rather than "till death do us part", and relate to each other as equals and friends as well as lovers. Being in a lesbian relationship can feel like starting from scratch - we get to ask ourselves what kind of relationship we want rather than feel forced.

But it's not always easy to be so inventive. We don't live in blankness; there are social pressures on us. For lesbians, homophobia can present an obvious pressure and strain on our relationships.
